On Day 42 of the partial DHS shutdown, the House passed a 213–203 funding bill to keep the Department of Homeland Security, including ICE, funded through May 22.

• The vote saw all Republicans, Independent Rep. Kevin Kiley (CA), and three Democrats support the measure.

• The bill differs from the unanimously passed Senate version and now heads back to the Senate, which is not scheduled to return until April 13 after a two-week recess.

• The shutdown will continue and is set to become the longest in U.S. history on Sunday, surpassing the current 43-day record.
