Éric Chelle will rotate his squad when the Super Eagles of Nigeria face Jordan in an international friendly on Tuesday, in Turkey.

NOP NIGERIA reports that Chelle named a strong side for last Friday’s 2-1 win over Iran but is now ready to hand opportunities to fringe players.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is set to start after Maduka Okoye was ruled out with a thigh injury sustained in training. The shot stopper, who plays for Udinese Calcio, has already returned to Italy for treatment.

Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Uzoho was Nigeria’s second-choice keeper at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he made one appearance. The 27-year-old has earned 36 caps for the three-time African champions.

Defensive changes are also expected. Semi Ajayi of Hull City A.F.C. and left-back Bruno Onyemaechi have left camp to attend to personal matters. Zaidu Sanusi of FC Porto is expected to slot in at left-back, while newcomer Emmanuel Fernandez could step into central defence.

New invitees Philip Otele and Yira Collins Sor are in line for their senior debuts.

Kick-off is set for 6.30pm Nigerian time at the Corendon Airlines Park in Antalya. Jordan is aiming to use the international friendly to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
