A rapidly emerging health-technology company, MedxVerse Telemedicine & Virtual Care Ltd, has officially unveiled its integrated digital healthcare platform designed to address issues of healthcare access, reportedly Africa’s most critical healthcare challenge.
The company was founded by Ogunsakin Timilehin Seyi Adeleke, a Nigerian entrepreneur driven by firsthand experience with healthcare system limitations.
Speaking with our reporter, Adeleks said, with over 1.4 billion people and nearly a quarter of the global disease burden, Africa faces a severe shortage of healthcare professionals and infrastructure.
He said that millions continue to die from preventable conditions—not due to lack of treatment, but lack of timely access, revealing that MedxVerse is positioning itself as a scalable solution to bridge this gap using technology.
He said: “MedxVerse introduces a comprehensive digital ecosystem that enables patients to access healthcare services remotely through mobile and web platforms. The system integrates telemedicine, e-pharmacy, diagnostics, and artificial intelligence into a single, seamless experience.
“Patients can consult licensed doctors via video, voice, or chat, receive digital prescriptions, order medications, and access laboratory services—all without visiting a physical hospital. The platform also maintains secure digital medical records, ensuring continuity of care across providers.
“Early adoption has already surpassed 2,000 users, demonstrating strong demand for accessible and affordable healthcare solutions.
“At the core of the platform is Lexi AI, an intelligent virtual health assistant that provides 24/7 support. Lexi AI enables real-time symptom assessment, guided care recommendations, appointment scheduling, medication reminders and simplified health education.
“By acting as the first point of contact, Lexi AI helps users make informed health decisions and escalates critical cases to human doctors when necessary. The system improves over time through continuous data-driven learning, enhancing accuracy and personalisation.
“MedxVerse is built to tackle three fundamental barriers in African healthcare: limited access to specialists, particularly in rural communities, high out-of-pocket healthcare costs and delayed diagnosis leading to preventable mortality.
“Through its digital-first approach, the company eliminates the need for travel, reduces costs, and accelerates diagnosis—ultimately improving health outcomes at scale.
“MedxVerse was created to solve a real and urgent problem—people dying from conditions that could have been managed with timely access to care. We are building a system where quality healthcare is no longer limited by location or income.”
He added: “Since its incorporation in September 2025, MedxVerse has focused on building a platform tailored to the realities of African healthcare while maintaining global scalability.
“Africa’s digital health market is projected to reach $45 billion by 2030, driven by increasing smartphone adoption, expanding internet access, and growing acceptance of virtual healthcare services.
“MedxVerse is strategically positioned to serve multiple stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, hospitals, and fintech partners. Its scalable architecture also enables expansion into other emerging markets beyond Africa.
“Unlike single-service healthcare applications, MedxVerse offers a fully integrated ecosystem combining telemedicine consultations, pharmaceutical services, diagnostic testing and AI-powered health support
“This comprehensive approach enhances user experience, improves treatment adherence, and creates a strong foundation for long-term growth.
“MedxVerse has outlined a phased roadmap for expansion: 2025–2026: Strengthening operations and expanding access across Nigeria, 2027–2030: Scaling into multiple African countries and reaching over 100,000 users, 2031–2035: Expanding globally, advancing AI diagnostics, and serving over one million users.
“The company aims to become a leading digital healthcare platform not only in Africa, but across emerging markets worldwide.
“MedxVerse Telemedicine & Virtual Care Ltd is a health-technology company focused on improving access to healthcare through digital innovation. The platform combines telemedicine, artificial intelligence, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical services to deliver accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare solutions.
