The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Sanusi, presented Group Life Assurance, Group Personal Accident and Family Welfare Support cheques to the families and next of kins of 79 fallen Police officers at the FCT Police Command Headquarters, Abuja.
A press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, SP Josephine Adeh, said the exercise formed part of activities marking the 2026 National Police Day, and reflected the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) under the leadership of IGP Olatunji Disu, to the welfare of Police personnel and the families of officers who died in the line of duty.
She said while addressing the beneficiaries, CP Sanusi conveyed his heartfelt condolences and reassured them of the Force’s continued support, noting that the fallen officers’ sacrifices will never be forgotten.
