Chibok:When We Had Return Of 82 Girls We Were Expecting 83,One Refused To Return & I Was Sad—Oyebode

Dr. Aisha Muhammed Oyebode, co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, has stated that there was a time when the government facilitated the release of 82 abducted Chibok schoolgirls, while one other girl, Zoria Paul, decided to remain with Boko Haram

In an interview with Rainbow Book Club, Oyebode said the release of the 82 Chibok schoolgirls at the time was a huge victory, but she was still devastated that Zoria chose to remain behind instead of coming back with the others

Oyebode said that in many cases, some abducted girls fear returning home because they worry about being rejected or stigmatized by their communities
