From the amount, ₦160.744 billion was deducted as the cost of collection, while transfers and refunds amounted to ₦1.789 trillion.

The OAGF said gross statutory revenue for June stood at ₦3.700 trillion, representing an increase of ₦1.049 trillion over the ₦2.651 trillion recorded in May 2026.

Gross VAT revenue also rose to ₦799.746 billion in June from ₦743.688 billion in the preceding month.

An additional ₦197.610 billion, representing 13 per cent derivation from mineral revenue, was shared among the oil- and mineral-producing states.

From the ₦1.809 trillion distributable statutory revenue, the Federal Government received ₦849.366 billion.

The state governments received ₦430.810 billion, while the local government councils received ₦332.136 billion.

The sum of ₦197.610 billion was distributed to the benefiting states as 13 per cent derivation revenue.

From the ₦740.724 billion distributable VAT revenue, the Federal Government received ₦74.072 billion.

The state governments received ₦407.398 billion, while the local government councils received ₦259.253 billion.

The communiqué stated that revenue from Companies Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duties, petroleum royalties, gas-flaring penalties, rentals, miscellaneous oil revenue, VAT, import duties and Common External Tariff levies increased significantly during the month.

Excise duty recorded only a marginal increase.

However, revenue from Petroleum Profit Tax, Hydrocarbon Tax, mineral royalties and fees declined considerably in June.

The improved statutory and VAT receipts contributed to the increase in the amount available for distribution among the three tiers of government.
