Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has sparked widespread reactions on social media after sharing a video that many Nigerians believe was a subtle response to First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s recent remarks encouraging citizens to start small businesses instead of depending on financial handouts.
In the video, Anunobi mocked the popular phrase about always asking for “urgent ₦2,000,” urging people to consider starting small-scale businesses such as frying akara, roasting corn, or producing kulikuli. She humorously suggested that with consistency, they could become the “Chairlady of Alakara” before eventually growing into millionaires and even billionaires.
The actress stressed that God blesses the work of people’s hands, encouraging Nigerians to stop “snoozing” and embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to financial independence and long-term success.
Although Anunobi did not mention the First Lady by name, many social media users interpreted the video as a satirical reaction to Oluremi Tinubu’s recent comments, which have continued to generate public debate and mixed reactions across the country.
