President-elect Ashiwaju Tinubu has for a start, four years to rebuild the house called Nigeria, using the original building plan. He has four years to prove that despite his celebrated moral warts, he would be earnest and dignified in power.
“Embrace Government of National Unity (GNU)” —Adesanya-Davies
2023 Presidency: Tinubu Bids To Form National Unity Government Commendable! (NUG)–Adesanya-Davies
A frontline female Presidential candidate, Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, a Communication of Arts expert, in the field of Applied Linguistics and a lecturer in Port Harcourt, Rivers state has made an urgent, special and unusual call to all Contestants in the 2023 Presidential election to, “Brace up for and Embrace Government of National Unity in Nigeria in 2023.”
Adesanya-Davies alludes to the new Nigerian National Anthem, “Arise oh compatriots!” and the old National Anthem “Nigeria we hail thee,” calls, “It’s time for Justice, Peace, Equality, Unity, Progress, Prosperity as it all appeared in our National Anthem.” She says, “It’s time for national reconciliation, true federalism, restructuring and regionalisation.”
As President-elect Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu moots and bids to form GNU for Government of National Unity, Adesanya-Davies affirms, “It’s an incredible idea and that is all Nigerians actually need now, if truly we all are really and realistically interested in a New Nigeria we have been clamouring for.”
Adesanya-Davies expounds,
The dictionary meaning of National Unity Government (NUG) actually refers to, “A government formed by a coalition of parties, especially in time of national emergency,” if I may explain to all.
The Government of National Unity (GNU) means, “A government that brings together a number of rival leaders and political parties in order to promote national unity and political stability. Governments of national unity are often formed after a political crisis, after a period of conflict, or during a transition from one regime type to another.”
A National Unity Government,(NUG), or Government of National Unity (GNU), or National Union Government is “A broad coalition government consisting of all parties (or all major parties) in the legislature, usually formed during a time of war or other national emergency.” A unity government lacks opposition,
because all are ready to work together in Unity.”
In the words of Adesanya-Davies, “If the solutions are impossible to find within the system, lets change the SYSTEM its self. Let’s focus on JUSTICE AND EQUITY, the REAL POWER belongs to the people!”
Few notable and remarkable facts about Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu in the last Presidential election as he won, if we may want to recall is as follows:
1. Tinubu lost his state, Lagos state, so he won’t brag that he won because of Lagos and the Lagosians can’t brag they made him the president either.
2. Tinubu lost Kano, the most populated state, so Abdullahi Umar Granduje, the sitting APC governor won’t brag that he made him the president.
3. Tinubu lost Kaduna state, so Nasiru El Rufai won’t think Tinubu won because of his radical stand and stances.
4. Tinubu lost Katsina, PBM’s state, so President Muhammadu Buhari won’t think he won because he, the siting president used his power of incumbency to select him.
5. Tinubu lost Sokoto the seat of the caliphate, so they won’t call him the Northern candidate or the Khalifa, he is not at all.
6. Tinubu lost Osun, where some people say he really came from, so they one can’t say he is tribalist and they can’t say they made him.
7. Tinubu lost Plateau the state of the campaign DG, so he lost in his comfort zone and his DG cannot take the glory.
8. Tinubu lost Abuja, the seat of power so the fct residents can neither take nor claim the glory, only God, the Almighty can.
Yet, he won the OVERALL SIMPLE MAJORITY VOTES AND MADE THE CONSTITUTIONALLY REQUIRED 25 Percentage in more than 25 …(30) STATES OF THE FEDERATION. They say, “Voice of the people, voice of God!” (Latin: Vox populi, vox Dei), which generally means- (The opinion of the majority of the people is the voice of God.)
This is the story of Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu, “AKANBI OMO Olodo Ide” – The “Akanda Eda” of our time. Tinubu is not the President of the Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo or minorities, he is the President-elect of all Nigerians, as such let’s give him a chance, and let’s see what he can do in the next 4years as God grants him the grace, courage and give him the wisdom he has prayed for in his acceptance speech, against all odds.
As the Eagle flies to victory, the President-elect has extended an Olive branch to Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso, and others while he moves to form a GNU, to pacify south east and others. What a remarkable gesture!
The president-elect, Bola Tinubu, Wednesday, assured Nigerians that he would be the chief servant and serve Nigeria with all he’s got. “I will serve you; be your servant and not your leader. I will work with you and make Nigeria a great country.
I shall be a fair leader to all Nigerians. I will be in tune with your aspirations, charge up your energies and harness your talents to deliver a nation that we can be proud of,” he added.
“He also promised to hit the ground running as soon as he assumes office, saying, “He would work day and night to the best of his ability to make the country better.” Lets keep praying for the president-elect; for “Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think,” amen. — Ephesians 3:20.
President-elect Ashiwaju Tinubu has for a start, four years to rebuild the house called Nigeria, using the original building plan. He has four years to prove that despite his celebrated moral warts, he would be earnest and dignified in power. Otherwise, we would be disappointed and dissatisfied and he will be remembered as another Nero, a debauched fiddler in power.
In a report on March 13, 2023
by Levinus Nwabughiogu and Omeiza Ajayi, in Vanguard, Abuja, “Ahead of today’s meeting with the National Assembly members-elect slated at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has elected to form a government of national unity, Vanguard can competently reveal.”
This was how the Presidential candidate of the Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA), Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies had declared plans to form a unity government if elected as Nigeria’s president during the 2019 general election. Adesanya-Davies mooted and vowed to form Government of National Unity with other candidates if elected.
“Government of National Unity (GNU) is what Nigeria needs now, National Unity Government is ALL Nigerians need now (NUG) -Whether you are Batified, Atikulated, Obidient, Kwankwasiyya, or have any other political affiliation.” -Adesanya-Davies asserts.
