He prayed God Almighty to grant the deceased Nnebe eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh, has described the demise of erstwhile Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Anayo Nnebe (Ichele Awka) as painful and a huge loss to Anambra State.
According to Charles Ifeanyi Obi, an assistant to the senator, Umeh, the Ohamadike Ndigbo, who had already sympathized with the bereaved family in a telephone conversation, made this statement at the residence of the late Anayo Nnebe during a condolence visit to the family at the weekend in Awka.
“My brother (late Anayo Nnebe), it is very painful that you left me without a word. I didn’t hear that you were sick, only to hear that you had left. Adieu! May your soul rest in perfect peace,” Senator Umeh mourned.
He prayed God Almighty to grant the deceased Nnebe eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Nnebe, aged 61, reportedly died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi after a brief illness. Until his death, he was the special adviser on legislative and assembly matters to Governor Chukwuma Soludo. He was once a member of House of Representatives for Awka North/South Federal Constituency.
