- The veteran Yoruba actor had cried out on Instagram about being reportedly assaulted by National Union of Road Transport Workers boss, Koko Zaria at a recent event.
- In a swift reaction, Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, took to the microblogging platform, X, to respond.
The Nigeria Police said it would investigate the assault on a veteran Yoruba actor, Ibrahim Bello Sanya better known as Lawori, reportedly by Koko Zaria.
The actor had on the photo and video sharing site, Instagram, narrated how he was the MC at an event and Koko Zaria, a chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW called him out for being disrespectful and disregarding him.
Lawori claimed he apologized and was on his way to make amends when he was hit on the head with a liquor bottle, rendering him unconscious.
Reacting to the now viral video where Lawori narrated the ordeal he allegedly faced in Koko Zaria’s hands, the Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made known the force’s intention to investigate the case on his official X handle on Monday.
Sharing a viral video by Lawori, an X user, tagged the Police PPRO to step in.
In response, Adejobi assured the general public that justice will be served.
He wrote, “This will be investigated, and justice will be served. Many people have called me on this case.”

In other news, Nigerian movie actress, Rita Dominic Anosike has responded to backlash trailing her movie role in a new film titled Lekki Wives.
The actress was slammed for accepting a role ‘beneath’ her status on the microblogging X platform.
Rita Dominic warned actors never to pay attention to such comments if not they’d end up believing they are too important for any role at all.
