Sophia Momodu, the mother of Imade Adeleke, has reportedly filed a comprehensive 102-paragraph affidavit countering Davido’s request for joint custody of their daughter.
This move follows Davido’s recent suit, alleging that Momodu had been obstructing his access to Imade and extorting money from him.
Nigerian singer Davido Adeleke, claimed that despite their past relationship ending years ago, they had agreed to co-parent Imade.
However, he asserted that Sophia Momodu had not adhered to this arrangement, rejecting his offer of a house and instead demanding a monthly rent of N5 million, among other conditions.
In her affidavit, Momodu refuted these allegations, revealing that she had an affair with Davido from 2020 to 2022, even while he was involved with Chioma.
She denied the accusations of denying Davido access to their daughter, stating that he had never made any attempts to see Imade and had abandoned her due to her refusal to engage in a sexual relationship with him.
Represented by Dr. Anthony Idigbe SAN of Punuka Attorneys and Dr. Bimpe Ajegbomogun, Momodu’s legal team has vigorously contested Davido’s claims.
The next court hearing for the estranged couple is scheduled for Friday, July 5, 2024, where the matter will be further deliberated.
