- Egungun of Lagos asserted that education alone does not guarantee a person’s success.
- He mentioned that his chef, personal assistants, and official videographer all have university degrees yet are employed by him.
Content creator Egungun of Lagos has sparked a heated debate on social media after stating that formal education does not guarantee success in life.
According to Egungun, having a university degree is no guarantee of achieving success.
To illustrate his point, Egungun stated that his chef and personal assistants, all hold university degrees but work for him.
He noted that despite their educational background, they are still employed by him.
In his words;
“School does not guarantee the success of man. I have a chef, Tayo who is educated. He read biology in school. He has two degrees. He is a nutritionist and a dietitian. He graduated with a second-class upper. I also have 5 staff. All my PAs also have degrees. My videographer too is a graduate.”

It’s not a reflection on you, but a glaring indictment of how Nigeria has failed its people. Unless, of course, the degree is in culinary arts, then that’s a different story.”

Whatever you’ll do in this life, you’ll definitely need education.
Just make sure you can read and write, then you’re good to go. You don’t need degrees in this country to be successful fr.”
