- In an exclusive chat , K-Peace detailed his struggles after emerging as the winner of Nigerian idol few years ago.
- According to him, when he inquired about the cash and the car from the Nigerian idol organizers, he was repeatedly told they were “working on it”.
K-Peace, a former winner of the Nigerian Idol reality show, has shared his experience regarding the prize he was promised.
According to K-Peace, the show’s organizers publicly announced that he had received the grand prize, which included ₦7.5 million and a car.
However, K-Peace claims that he never received anything.
In a recent interview, K-Peace described the challenges he faced after winning the competition, including financial struggles and difficulties accessing the promised prize.
He stated that the organizers repeatedly told him they were “working on it” when he inquired about the status of the prize.
In his words:
“I came out from the Nigerian Idol platform with zero naira in my account. I attended interviews on an empty stomach. We walked all over Lagos without food in my belly.
“They announced N7.5 million as the grand prize, but as time passed, I kept asking when the money would be credited and when I’d get the car. They kept pushing it forward.
“They claimed they were still branding the car. They announced on national TV that I won N7.5 million and a car, and that I was supposed to have a two-week trip to Dubai. Meanwhile, I was going through hell.”
