Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia has issued a public apology to those who may have been offended by his past comments on The Honest Bunch Podcast.
During a recent press conference in Lagos, Nedu addressed rumors surrounding his personal and professional life.
He expressed remorse for any hurt caused by his words and asked for forgiveness from those affected.
“I am a child of God and I serve God, I’m an Igbo boy in Enugu state and I don’t hurt anybody and I can never hurt anyone’. If something I have said has hurt you personally, forgive.”
Nedu also thanked his followers and fans for their support, acknowledging those who have stood by him amidst the controversy.
“To all my followers and fans, you guys have been so worried, thank you for your love. Thank you to those who have stuck with me, for those of you who know me and have said nothing, I understand, trust me. And for those who know me added my alcohol, thank you too. I forgive everybody and I love everybody.”
Nedu’s apology comes amid heightened public scrutiny and varied reactions to his involvement in controversial discussions on his podcast.
His statement also follows allegations made by VeryDarkMan, who claimed that Nedu had requested sex from women in exchange for movie roles.
In response to these claims, Nedu stepped down as the chief host of Honest Bunch podcast.
In a statement released on Instagram on Friday, February 14 Nedu said his decision to step down was influenced by growing scrutiny and accusations, which he described as baseless. He stated:
“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and the willingness to tackle difficult topics. But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to take a personal toll.”
