While some close to the Emirate claimed the Bayero was on a private travel outside of the country, others claimed it was an official trip to attend the Abuja conference of traditional leaders.
Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, traveled to Abuja for the first time on Friday, amidst the controversies that surrounded the Kano Emirate struggle.
Remember that 16th Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II was reinstated and promptly transferred to the Kofar Kudu palace when Governor Abba Yusuf deposed Bayero while he was out of the state and the palace.
Nonetheless, Bayero’s journey occurred roughly three months following his return to the state and the Nassarawa tiny palace.
While some close to the Emirate claimed the Bayero was on a private travel outside of the country, others claimed it was an official trip to attend the Abuja conference of traditional leaders.
Bayero was said to be accompanied in a convoy to the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA, where he departed for Abuja.
The heavy security presence around the Nassarawa mini palace, which Bayero occupied, remains on standby in the area.
Meanwhile, the 16th Emir, Sanusi II, was said to have also travelled abroad, where he defended his PhD thesis, leaving Kano without a sitting Emir.
Recall also that the Emirship tussle case is before the court of law to put an end to the dispute.
