Barely three weeks a resident of Jedo Estate in Lugbe, Airport road, Abuja, Mr Suleiman Sambo was kidnapped on his way home by heavily armed men, one kilometre from his house, the hoodlums invaded the estate again invaded the estate and abducted another resident.
The victim, who was identified as Mr. Paul was whisked away by the armed men after they broke through the wall of the estate fence and stormed his house, shooting.
According to some residents, who confirmed the abduction, the kidnappers succeeded in taking away their victim before a team of security operatives came to the rescue of the victim and were engaged in a hot fire exchange but their effort yielded little effort due to their late arrival of the scene of the incident.
Mr. Paul, who is said to be living with some of his relations was said to have suffered some gun wounds before he was taken away to an unknown destination leaving other occupants of the house.
Another resident of the estate, who provided incites on the late-night operation, said the gunmen operated for a considerable amount of time and even fired shots before leaving and wondered why there was no quick response from the local Vigilante and the police.
He, however, confirmed that the intruders came in through a porous boundary with a neighbouring estate (which is still under development) and broke into the house from the external fence.
