The regretful incident was confirmed by Chief Press Secretary Kamaluddeen Shawai in a condolence message to Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore.
Halilu Kundila, a lawmaker for the Shanono/Bagwai seat in the Kano State House of Assembly and a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has been formally declared deceased.
It was reported that the congressman died following a lengthy illness.
The regretful incident was confirmed by Chief Press Secretary Kamaluddeen Shawai in a condolence message to Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore.
Falgore stated that his passing occurs at a crucial juncture when he is most needed by his people and the people of Kano State as a whole.
“On this sad day, on behalf of my family and members of Kano State House of Assembly, I sent our heartfelt condolences to the family of Hon Halilu Kundila member representing Shanono and Bagwai constituency and our deep sympathies are with the family.
“Falgore also prays to Allah to repose his soul, forgive his shortcomings and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement however reads.
Kundila survived by four wives and 17 children.
