President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will inaugurate a three-day national youth conference on poverty reduction on Tuesday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The conference, organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Think Tank and Intellectual Resource Centre, The Progressive Institute (TPI), focuses on tackling poverty, unemployment, and the skills gap in Nigeria.
In a statement released on Friday, Wale Abideen, Head of Media and Strategic Communication for the Institute, described the event as a crucial platform to explore solutions to these pressing challenges.
APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, noted that the conference, themed “Vocational Skills Acquisition, Entrepreneurship, and Challenges of Development in Nigeria,” aligns with the federal government’s efforts to reduce unemployment, poverty, and hunger.
Dr. Lanre Adebayo, Director-General of The Progressive Institute, emphasized that the conference will be policy-driven. It aims to address gaps in advanced skills and entrepreneurship to foster development.
