It is important that you assemble competent teams, establish clear goals and objectives, while also developing a detailed plan of action. You should also be willing to engage with all stakeholders, listen to different perspectives, and collaborate to find solutions that will work for Nigeria and Nigerians
Dear Voter,
As you head to the polls to choose a President, Governors and those who will represent you at the legislature, know that this is your chance to have a say in how you want to be governed.
Suffice to say you are already well informed about the candidates you support and their platforms. Sure, you already also have taken the time to research their track records, policies, values and evaluate how they align with your priorities and aspirations. It should go without saying that you also have paid attention to issues that are most important to you and considered how each candidate’s position and plans address those concerns. I believe you have thought critically and objectively about your choice while avoiding being swayed by emotional appeal or political rhetoric.
It is important that you approach this responsibility with a sense of purpose knowing that you are playing a very vital role in shaping the future of Nigeria. Remember, your vote counts, so vote with pride and conviction.
However, while at it, it is pertinent that you respect the outcome of the elections. Elections are not do or die affairs. Losing, thought part of the game, can be disappointing to both candidates and supporters, but it is essential to accept the outcome and move on. Whatever grievances should be addressed through dedicated legal channels.
Eschew inciting violence or engaging in any form of hate speech. Remember that sometimes words have consequences (you don’t intend them to mean), and even a seemingly innocuous tweet or comment can have a profound impact on our very volatile political space. Regardless of who wins, you should face the bigger picture which is commitment to building a stronger, prosperous, and more united Nigeria. You must put aside grievances after the results are announced and work towards a common goal of making Nigeria a better place.
To the eventual President, Governors and legislators, once the election is over, you should be prepared to start working immediately to fulfil your campaign promises and deliver on your commitments to Nigerians. Be ready to hit the ground running and demonstrate commitment to service. You already know you have your work cut out, so be ready to work tirelessly to build trust and confidence in your leadership and deliver results that will make positive difference.
It is important that you assemble competent teams, establish clear goals and objectives, while also developing a detailed plan of action. You should also be willing to engage with all stakeholders, listen to different perspectives, and collaborate to find solutions that will work for Nigeria and Nigerians
A free and fair election is sacrosanct, dear INEC. It is important that you ensure that this election is conducted in a manner that is transparent, impartial, and fair to ALL. The integrity of our electoral process (especially with the introduction of BVAS) must be protected at all cost, as it is the foundation of a democratic society.
May Nigeria Succeed.
