The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained controversial celebrity cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, for currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira.
Dele Oyewale, EFCC spokesperson, confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest on Wednesday in Pinnock Estate in Lagos State.
He further claimed that Bobrisky would be charged in court shortly.
Oyewale stated: “Bobrisky is with us. He was captured in Lagos last night and is now at our command.
“We arrested him for alleged abuse of Naira notes, spraying of Naira notes, and currency mutilation, among others.
“We are very serious about restoring the dignity of the Naira. Though our investigation is still ongoing, but he will definitely be charged to court soon.”
