In a reaction to the incident, Adesanya-Davies says, “The accident is very very sad and heart breaking, praying, “The Almighty God will console the families of the deceased as well as grant very quick quick recovery of the many who were injured in Jesus Precious name, amen.”

IPOB has asked the Yoruba leaders to stop those trying to ignite an ethnic war in Lagos State and the Southwest in general in viral news online.
The Country president of United Nations Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC), Amb. Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies has lent her voice to this call. She says, “The fundamental truth is that the Igbo, as part of humanity, have the right to live anywhere in or outside Nigeria, and that should be respected.”
The South needs not tread on the part of self destruction after this 2023 election, both Ashiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Obi are Southerners, and the Yorubas and Igbos have always lived in peace. However it is so sad, now, thar the up coming gubanitorial state election is even being feared as it approaches by all than the presidential election.
We would recall that, The “Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi re-affirms Igbo, Yoruba family ties in a report by Tunji Omofoye, at Osogbo on 23 April 2019.
“The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, re-affirmed the family ties between Yoruba and Igbo nations, saying the two ethnic groups are inseparable members of the same family.
“Oba Ogunwusi stated this sometimd at his palace in Ile-Ife while receiving the Lagos State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Solomon Ogbonna, who was accompanied by the delegation of African Farmers and Cultural Organisation on a courtesy visit to him.
Ooni said: “I am so happy to have the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State President here as part of this empowerment initiative.
He further explained, “Lagos is part of Yorubaland and we are all one. We are all the same; the history is there, the facts are there, and we should actually put these facts out. “Why are we fighting? There should be no need for any fighting. It’s time for Southern presidency,” Adesanya-Davies added
Ooni espoused to the Igbos, “This is your root. I said it recently that some of our Yoruba kinsmen with ignorance of our history came out with nugatory statements of my position on the family ties between Yoruba and Igbo people. We have to say the truth and the truth must set us all free, we are blood brothers. We should be inseparable. Please feel at home in Yorubaland and respect your Yoruba brothers and sisters too.
“We have a lot of discoveries that the Igbo and Yoruba people once lived together as one family and this will be revealed to the public. We should look at things that connect us together not those that separate us.
“There were different clans of Igbo that left Ife to establish their kingdoms. One of them rebelled back and started coming to cause mayhem in Ife (where they originally came from) and that is the Olugbo Kingdom. We should all come together and forget what happened in the past.”
On his part, Ogbonna said the Igbo people would always appreciate his efforts in unifying all the races in Nigeria to peacefully co-exist as one inseparable family, calling him an uncommon bridge builder who is well loved and respected across Africa.
Of recent, “The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has reacted to attacks against Igbos in Lagos state. IPOB urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Yoruba traditional rulers, Afenifere leaders and Gani Adams to stop the attacks on Igbos.
IPOB asked the Yoruba leaders to stop those trying to ignite an ethnic war in Lagos State and the Southwest in general. The group lamented that there was a plot to pitch Igbos against Yorubas in Lagos and the Southwest.
In a statement, the spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, urged Igbos in Lagos and the Southwest to defend themselves against all forms of ethnic agenda.
The statement reads partly: “IPOB is urging Ndigbo and Biafrans in general resident in the Western region Nigeria particularly in Lagos, to be very vigilant and be prepared and ready to defend themselves and their businesses against thugs and criminals if the Nigerian security apparatus is incapable of or unwilling to protect them.
“That same evil bird that sang in the 60s is singing again. Fulani cabals rigged the 2023 election to set Ndigbo up against the Yorubas. But we are so much wiser now, and we hope that Yoruba people will not fall into the script of the Fulani caliphate.
The political thugs and criminals hired to terrorise and burn down properties belonging to Ndigbo should know that they have no monopoly on violence, hence, must be prepared to receive at least as much as they give.“
This, IPOB is urging the Lagos State Governor, Yoruba Traditional rulers, their opinion moulders, politicians, Afenifere leaders particularly Gani Adams to do all that is necessary to stop these criminals and their sponsors in their track to avoid igniting a fire that will pitch us against each other while the Fulani Caliphate is standing on the sideline laughing at us.
These thugs must be compelled to desist from further attacking and bullying Ndigbo that are doing their legitimate business in Lagos.
“Lagos government should know that 2023 is not 1993 and Igbos will defend themselves against these criminals with whatever means is available to them.
“We are making this requests in good faith so that tomorrow none should wake up to tell the story from the middle that Ndigbo are fighting their host community.
Adesanya-Davies therefore supports that “The leaders and elders in Yoruba land should call the criminals terrorising Igbos and their sponsors to order before things degenerate into dangerous and unimaginable dimension urgently,” as requested by IPOB.
She pleads, “Halt the attacks on Igbos in Lagos, they are your blood brothers as we watch several vides of killings and destructios of Igbo properties in Lagos, while IPOB pleads with the Yoruba leaders.”
Similarly, the Igbo leaders and Traditional Rulers should equally speak out to the Yoruba counterparts. Nobody should blame Ndigbo and the youths for defending themselves against ethnic cleansing agenda.”
Prof Adesanya-Davies noted however, that what the Yoruba’s are saying is, “Lagos is NOT no-man’s land. It belongs to the Yorubas. And that, “Other than winning the Presidency, the most important thing for the Yoruba to do today is to ensure that Babajide Sanwo-Olu is re-elected as Governor of Lagos state.” They don’t want to be short changed and finished as a race and as a people.
Yourubas are of the opinion that, “The Igbo would not allow any Yoruba man to contest and role in the east. They formed the Amotekun to protect themselves against the onslaught of Fulani herdsmen nuisance. The Yorubas are highly protective people that never wants to be at the defensive”
