Tolani Osikoya, also known as Chef T, has shared a personal and scary experience of a robbery incident that occurred in 2003.
In an Instagram post, Chef T recounted the events of the incident, where her family were attacked by armed robbers.
According to Chef T, the robbers entered their home while she and her siblings were doing their math homework with their father.
The robbers, she stated, demanded money, and when they realized her father did not have any, they began to beat him.
The situation escalated, with the robbers taking Chef T’s mother and demanding her jewelry. Chef T’s father jumped out of the window to seek help, and her mother was hit on the head with a machete before the robbers escaped.
Chef T expressed her gratitude to God for keeping her family safe and acknowledged the bravery of her parents, who risked their lives to protect their children.
She also shared that the incident has been a source of pain for her and that sharing her experience has helped her begin to heal.
She stated, “The year was 2003, these are our heroes. Dad jumped to distract them and save us, knowing they were not going to shoot.
“Mum locked the door in a pool of her own blood. Grateful that we are complete today. This traumatizing experience has never left me.”
