- Seyi Law has stated that Eedris Abdulkareem lied, disclosing that he never said he regrets his support for Tinubu.
- The singer had earlier stated that the comedian confessed to him that voting for Tinubu was his biggest mistake.
- Responding Seyi Law said he would lose respect for Eedris Abdulkareem regarding claims he made about the former.
Comedian Seyi Law has said musician Eedris Abdulkareem lied about him, saying that voting for President Bola Tinubu was his biggest mistake.
Eedris made the statement in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast and shortly after the clip was released, a video of Seyi Law cracking jokes about the aftermath of his campaign for Tinubu emerged.
In the video, Seyi said that people no longer spray him money at events since Tinubu won the election.
Although the 40-year-old did not specifically say that supporting Tinubu is his biggest mistake, he made jokes about being “tired of standing on the mandate and needs to sit now”.
Reacting to the video in the comment section of Linda Ikeji’s blog on Tuesday, February 20, Eedris who appeared vindicated wrote:
“I tot you said I was lying @seyilaw1 my beautiful sister @lindaikejiblogofficial thank you so much.”
But Seyi Law insisted that Eedris lied, demanding that the musician show him the part where he admitted his regret about supporting Tinubu. Seyi Law replied:
“@abdulkareemeedris you lied. Where in this video did I say it was my biggest mistake? You’re too grown to think a joke is a reality.”
“@abdulkareemeedris Baba, I respect you gan, but this path of unnecessary lie to pander to your over-bloated ego and unsolicited activism go make you lose the respect. This relevance wey you dey find by force sha.”
This comes hours after Seyi Law drummed up support for Tinubu, declaring that if another election was to be held tomorrow, he was still going to vote for him.
He also stated how he would rather stay with ‘Moses through the wilderness than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt’, hinting at the Tinubu being the Biblical Moses while Egypt was Peter Obi.
Seyi Law further expressed that while a lot of Nigerians keep on killing the optimism of others with their hate and urge for gratification, he understands better as he is more informed than other Nigerians.
