The head of Taiwan mission in Nigeria, Andy Yih-Ping Liu has emphasised the need for stronger relationships between Taiwan and Nigeria through the instrumentality of the green chambers.
Liu made the comment when he hosted the member, representing Oshodi-Isolo II Federal Constituency, Lagos, Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi and others in Lagos.
According to him, Taiwan and Nigeria had a lot in common in their democratic development and otherwise.
Onuakalusi admonished the lawmakers and other dignitaries present to take advantage of the relations for the betterment of their constituents and Nigeria.
Liu appreciated Onuakalusi for the opportunity to have his team meet with honourable members and other dignitaries within a short notice.
He also declared that Taiwan is open for opportunities and propositions that will make their Constituency a better place, which is the main reason each of them were elected.
Founder, J.C. Ezike & Co, Barr. James Ezike, stated that it is expedient for the honourable members to legislate great laws that will make the 10th Assembly the best because of its people oriented laws and legislation.
He opined that when people see the dividends of democracy, it will bring peace and harmony.
Also, Nollywood Actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, appreciated the honourable members and the Head of Missions for the opportunity to be with them and advised the legislators to imbibe the spirit of togetherness and foster laws that make them relevant in the future.
Bishop Enobong Etteh of Salem International Centre charged the lawmakers to always put God first in whatever they do as this is the secret for success and rapid growth.
He admonished them to legislate laws that will bring succor to the citizens.
Some legislators present at the meeting were the Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode (Ogun State), Olumide Osoba; Egbado South/Ipokia (Ogun State), Akinlade Abiodun; Mayo/Jada/Ganye/Tonnyo (Adamawa State), Mohammed Bassi; Orhionwon/Uhunmwode (Edo State), Belle Osawaru, among others.
