Many Nigerians believe that President Tinubu came to power as a result of his social media activism.
Following the deepening economic hardship, the comedian has come under criticism on social media, with youths criticizing him for supporting the federal administration led by President Bola Tinubu.
Despite facing backlash , Seyi Law remains steadfast in his commitment not to abandon the cause he believes in.
He wrote on his X handle:
“I laugh not at your pains and I know there’s a lot of hardship right now. The fact that I supported a different candidate from you isn’t to spite you but out of my belief that my candidate will achieve a better Nigeria.”
I can’t abandon the government that I voted for. I can only join them to bring relief to Nigerians.”
He claimed he was now in Abuja meeting with some government officials to restore hope to Nigerians.
“The cost of governance will reduce, minimum wage will increase, and food affordability will improve” he said.
Seyi Law also declared that If another election comes up tomorrow, he will still vote for Tinubu .
He likened the current economic hardship in Nigeria to the Biblical wilderness experience of the Israelites, saying he would rather stay with “a Moses through the wilderness to Canaan than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt at the expense of my children’s future”.
