In a recent interview with Saturday beats, Diva Gold contested the notion that women have an easier path than men, stating that she works hard for every penny she earns.
She emphasized that nobody gives her free money, and she has to constantly think of ideas for content and seek out opportunities to feature in movies.
“I don’t know who made that statement that women generally find things easy in Africa. I am hustling for every penny I get. Nobody is giving me any free money. Day and night, I have to work and think of ideas for content. I have to look for people to feature me in their movies. It has just been the grace of God. I don’t believe in that saying that women find it easy. I am working so hard.”
When asked about relationship red flags, Diva Gold identified lack of communication as a major issue. She confessed that she struggles with communication herself, but believes that effective communication is essential for a successful relationship, she said:
“My biggest red flag in a relationship, which I think I am also guilty of, is lack of communication. They say unlike poles attract, because I suck at communicating. If he also sucks at communication, I am sorry we cannot work together. That’s like a deal breaker for me. But, there are times I would want the person’s attention even if I am not giving it. If I see that I am being given attention by my partner even if I am distracted, the fact that I am being given attention will make me want to give mine.”
When asked about her satisfaction with her career progress, Diva Gold expressed gratitude to God for her achievements, but acknowledged that she still has a long way to go., she replied:
“How can I be satisfied? Where am I? I give glory to God and I am not taking where I am for granted. I am really grateful to God but being satisfied? No, I haven’t even reached anywhere.”
