On Sunday, Mamoth’s supporters attended a massive gathering in Birnin Kebbi to commemorate his Supreme Court triumph.
The orderly parade began at Sir Ahmadu International Airport and finished at Halidu Abdu Stadium, where the governor addressed large crowds and top APC figures.
Earlier, in his speech, Idris dedicated the victory to Allah which through his interventions on Friday ended the lingering legal battle between him and the opposition peoples democratic party PDP.
He added that now the battle is over it is to time to settle for proper governance in order to fulfill the pledges made during campaigns ” despite distractions caused by legal tussle my government within seven months we have began radical provision of infrastructure in the state capital and we intend to extend same to all the local governments”.
Idris stressed that unlike other governments in the state where people grapple with insecurity in Zuru,Yauri and some parts of Argungu as if there is no government, he said as promised he will ensure security of lives and property in every part of the state saying government belongs to the people it is therefore mandatory to give them security and improve their welfare.
As usual the governor extended olive to the opposition with a passionate call on them to sheath their swords as the battle is over saying Kebbi is the only state we have ,we should out love and patriotism come together to move it to the next level of development and progress he said.
