- She noted how reality shows will mess up one’s head, and as such, people should show Annie love and maintain positive energy around her.
Beauty influencer and entrepreneur Laura Ikeji has spoken out in support of Nollywood actress Annie Idibia, who has been facing online criticism for her behavior on the reality show “Young Famous and African.”
On her Instagram story, Laura Ikeji encouraged Annie Idibia’s friends to defend her against negative comments from people who don’t know her personally.
Laura Ikeji, who has also participated in reality shows, acknowledged the potential impact of these programs on one’s mental state.
She wrote on her story:
“If you’re Annie’s friend and you know her and know that she’s an amazing person pls do not join people who haven’t met her to kick her down.
If she has ever been nice to you, defend her where people speak ill of her, and if you don’t want to defend her, keep mute, do not join them to speak ill of her.
Reality shows will mess with your head. So if you have known her before the show, continue to show her love. Let people who haven’t encountered her judge her from the show but you. You have met her and she’s your girl, maintain that positive energy.
Do not join the negative conversation.
U see me? In my heart, I might know you’re wrong o, but I will never kick u in front of our enemies.
I don’t have to be my friend.
Mauve that’s why people think I like friendship too much.
I don’t care about friendship, but I know you, and like you, I will never kick you while you’re down.
No matter how stup!d I look”.
