According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel is almost done destroying Hamas’s military capabilities in the Gaza Strip, but attacks on the organization’s remains will go on.
“I just got back from a tour of the Gaza division, and I observed some amazing victories in the Rafah fights.
“We are nearing the end of the elimination phase of the Hamas ‘terrorist army’, the strikes against its remnants will continue,” Netanyahu said during a meeting with students, adding that Israel will achieve all military goals.
Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to the prime minister, said that the intense fighting phase in the Gaza Strip will end soon, adding that the Israel Defense Forces will move on to the next phase promptly.
