Bissong said the process leading to the election of some All Progressives Congress candidates in the Central Senatorial District was flawed and the political parties would go to court to challenge it.
The Inter Party Advisory Council has called for the deployment of the military for the governorship and state House of Assembly elections on March 11.
IPAC Chairman, Anthony Bissong, who spoke on behalf of other members of the council at a news conference in Calabar on Friday, said the call became necessary in view of the relative peace witnessed during the presidential and National Assembly elections in the northern part of the state.
He said the military should be deployed to the central and southern senatorial districts, adding that “our desire is to ensure that the process is free and fair.”
He congratulated winners of the National Assembly election and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for their roles and called on INEC to improve on its performance in the next election.
