Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, famously known as Wizkid, has marked the 13th anniversary of his debut album ‘Superstar’.
While appreciating God for his achievements since the release of his debut album, the ‘Holla At Your Boy’ hitmaker noted that he is a millionaire in “every currency”.
Describing himself as a “real life winner,” Wizkid admonished fans to make sure they are winning in real life rather than living deceptive lifestyles.
On his X handle on Wednesday, he wrote:
“13 yrs since superstar ! First album! Thankful for all Gods blessings. Healthy family ! Blessed life! Love God.”
“Millionaires in every currency! Real life winners! Make sure u win in real life no deceive yourself! U deserve it.”
Wizkid released his aptly titled debut album ‘Superstar’ on June 12, 2012 under Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment, EME.
The album housed the standout tracks ‘Don’t Dull’, ‘Pakuromo’, ‘Tease Me’, ‘Holla AT Your Boy’, and ‘I Love My Baby’.
Wizkid left EME and set up his own record label, Starboy Entertainment, after the release of his sophomore album ‘Ayo’ in 2014.
In other news, Nigerian singer, Korede Bello has relived how his father who was a cigarette smoker cautioned him against smoking due to his own personal experience.
The God Win hitmaker further shared that he eventually smoked weed because his environment influenced him into it when he was much younger.
Korede Bello said while he didn’t touch cigarettes because of his father’s warnings, he revealed why he quit smoking weed.
