Enitan Bakare, popularly known for her role as Miss Tolotolo in the TV sitcom ‘Papa Ajasco,‘ has once again reached out to the public for financial help to continue her breast cancer treatment.
The veteran actress has been battling a severe form of cancer since 2020 and recently underwent surgery to remove one breast.
In a telephone interview with The Nation, Bakare expressed her gratitude for the support she has received thus far and disclosed the urgency of her current situation.
She revealed that she is experiencing a relapse and urgently requires chemotherapy sessions to prevent the disease from advancing.
“I am appealing for help on all fronts. The pain is getting unbearable. I recently had rigour during blood transfusion and it almost cost me my life, so I decided to boost my blood till I’m good for another session,” Bakare said.
The actress, who remains hopeful despite her challenges, explained the critical need for funds to remove new lumps that have developed, allowing her to recommence chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
She expressed her reluctance to lose her remaining breast but emphasized her desire to survive above all else.
“Right now, I’m due but I don’t have any money. I need money to remove the lumps that have grown again, so I can recommence my chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As a woman, I don’t want to cut off my second breast, but if that is the only way out, I just want to live,” she added.
