Joseph Aloba, the grieving father of the late singer Illerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has made a stunning claim that his son denied his own child, Liam, before his untimely passing.
In a recent social media clip, Mohbad’s dad revealed that his late son confided in him about only having a single encounter with Wunmi, Liam’s mother, before she disclosed her pregnancy.
“They shaved my late son’s hair before I got to his house. People saying my son didn’t reject Liam are lying. He said he only slept with Wunmi once and she brought pregnancy after their first sex” he said in Yoruba.

Since Mohbad’s tragic death, Mohbad’s dad, Joseph Aloba has been advocating for a DNA test to determine Liam’s true paternity.
However, Wunmi, who initially agreed to the test, has now reversed her decision. She asserts that only her late husband had the authority to request a DNA test, and since he’s no longer alive, she won’t consent to one.
Wunmi also disclosed that Mohbad was her first and only romantic partner, claiming that he was Liam’s father.
This situation has sparked several controversy between Wunmi and his father-in-law, and has raised questions about the truth behind Liam’s paternity.
Mohbad died on 12 September 2023, at the age of 27.
The exact cause of his demise remains undisclosed at this time.
It’s worth noting that Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but departed from the label in 2022. He had gained widespread recognition for his hit singles such as “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” in collaboration with Rexxie.
The passing of Mohbad is a profound loss to the Nigerian music industry and has left fans in mourning.
