Nigerian music sensation Davido has revealed plans for his highly anticipated fifth studio album, titled “5ive”, scheduled for release in 2025.
In a recent video, the Afrobeats singer expressed his confidence in the project, stating that it will have a profound impact on listeners.
Described as his most personal work yet, Davido shared that the album is a reflection of his story, truth, and growth.
“In 2025, my fifth album is going to be amazing. It’s gonna change everybody’s lives,” he stated joyfully.
“This one is straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth.”
“This one’s for the dreamers, the go-getters, and everyone chasing what’s theirs! Thank you for riding with me. Let’s make history again!”
The rollout for “5ive” has already begun, with the release of the lead single “Funds”, featuring collaborations with Odumodublvck and Chike.
The track samples Brenda Fassie’s iconic 1997 hit “Vuli Ndlela”, blending nostalgia with Davido’s signature style.

The fan, identified as Jadesola, had previously reached out to the singer on social media with a heartfelt request.
In her message, she expressed her desire to model for Davido’s PUMA basketball collection, highlighting her passion for the sport.
Jadesola, who plays as a shooting guard and small forward for the Dolphins Women’s Basketball Club in Lagos, mentioned that she had once met the musician at the 2021 GOA event, where they took photos together.
