He urged Tinubu to remain focused and steady on the wheel, while calling on Nigerians to support the President in his bid to build a better future for Nigeria.
Erstwhile Majority Leader of the Senate and ex-Board Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State on their first year anniversary in office.
On May 29 last year, Tinubu was sworn in as President of Nigeria after his triumphant outing in the presidential election held on February 25, 2023. Also, Otu along with other governors were inaugurated on the same day following their victories at the polls on March 18, 2023.
Ndoma-Egba said President Tinubu has in the last one year demonstrated great courage and shown unflinching determination in his desire to reposition the country for greater heights.
He said though certain inevitable decisions of the President came with pain, the ex-Senate Leader expressed confidence that they will benefit the country in the long run.
“Bold and courageous but inevitable decisions have been taken with immediate hardship but I believe there will be eventual and long term benefits for the polity,” the Senior Advocate of Nigeria assured.
He urged Tinubu to remain focused and steady on the wheel, while calling on Nigerians to support the President in his bid to build a better future for Nigeria.
On Governor Otu’s one year in office, Ndoma-Egba, the former parliamentarian who represented the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State in the Red Chamber, said: “Bassey Otu has restored Governance to its known notions of systems and procedures. He is rebuilding our derelict social institutions and establishing predictable policies. Our cities especially Calabar are regaining their cleanliness and greenery for which they were famous and infrastructure being repaired and upgraded. He has terminated the impulsive governance of the recent past.”
