- Verydarkman recently started the protest he had earlier talked about three days before the planned date, with his placard, calling for an end to bad governance.
- In response, Portable took to the comment section to slam the activist, telling him that he is alone in the protest.
Verydarkman, a well-known activist, has started a protest against bad governance, which stirred up a reaction from street rapper Portable.
The protest, scheduled for August 1st, 2024, was part of a larger movement by Nigerian youths advocating for societal change. This sparked discussions and requests for reconsideration from various individuals, including the government.
Even actress Tonto Dikeh offered alternatives to youths planning the nationwide protest.
She expressed her sadness over the rising cost of living, which makes it hard for citizens to manage their expenses despite working hard.
She recalled how the #EndSARS protest against police brutality in 2020 was ultimately derailed by those who caused damage, and suggested that a more constructive approach might be to form a representative group to engage directly with President Bola Tinubu.
However, recently taking to Instagram, Verydarkman shared a post carrying up a placard with a message that calls for an end to bad governance.
The placard’s writings included thought-provoking questions directed at government leaders and their impact on the future of the country.
His placard reads, “Emi lo kan…Is it your turn to suffer us? Mr President, do we even have a future with you??”
Accompanying the post was a caption reiterating his commitment to the cause and inviting others to join the movement against bad governance.
“Emi lo kon is it your turn to suffer us sir? WE DEY STREET LIKE THIS #endbadgovernanceinnigeria” he added.
In response to Verydarkman’s post, controversial street singer Portable, commented on the activist’s stance on the protest.
He expressed his belief that people should prioritize personal growth and financial stability over participating in societal movements.
“Aparo nobody dey your back everybody busy looking for money not cho cho cho. Fight for your self Don’t fight for them. Abiapapepe Agunmaniye,” He commented.
