Professor Peter Palmer Ekeh (1937-2020) was a Nigerian sociologist and university teacher. He was undoubtedly one of Urhobo’s greatest scholars who showed concern about building his students and giving them a great knowledge of political science. He may have died over two years ago, but till today his works and legacy remain.
Peter Ekeh, as he was simply called, came into existence on August 8, 1937 in Okpara Inland, Delta State, Nigeria. He was educated in some of the best schools in the world and was well-educated. As an intelligent scholar, he was professor in the Political Science Department at the University of Ibadan from 1976 to 1979.

Sadly, he left this world on November 17, 2020 in Buffalo, New York, United States. He was remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, and scholar.
