- Do2dtun speaks on the double standard of most Nigerians, slamming them on their constant criticism of Rema’s smoking habit
- Do2dtun also reminded them that the young singer was doing well regardless.
Popular OAP Do2dtun has addressed the controversy surrounding Rema’s smoking habits, calling out the selective outrage and hypocrisy in most Nigerians.
In his post, Do2dtun pointed out the double standard of Nigerians criticizing Rema’s smoking habit while ignoring other harmful habits prevalent in Nigeria, such as inhaling carbon monoxide from generators and exhaust fumes.
He emphasized that people should focus on their own health and well-being rather than judging others, especially when their own vices may be just as harmful.
While acknowledging that smoking is harmful, Do2dtun advocated for personal freedom to make choices, as long as they are legal.
He also shared a news clip showcasing Rema’s success, performing at the Ambani wedding in India, to emphasize the singer’s well-being despite the criticism.
In his post, Do2dtun wrote;
”Rema give me what you are smoking o! Some of u are helping him count the no of nicotine he is consuming but one puff is reading 4.7 billion yet u are there inhaling Carbon monoxide (CO) every day in Nigeria & you think u are healthier than him abi! Naija & selective rage.
If you haven’t done a check up in the last
6 months and you are sure you are healthier, don’t speak about health. Just cos your vices are different and no one sees it doesn’t make you healthier. Dr Abalakas.
Smokers are liable to die young, inhalers of carbon monoxide are liable to die young too.
All our exhaust don tear finish, shisha everywhere; smoke, generator everywhere. You are dying slowly but you don’t even know it.
I don’t smoke. I have never but let people do what they want as long as it is legal. Judges, unsolicited counselors and life coach too much”.
Do2dtun also added in his caption, stating:
“Some Nigerians are like the devils that can’t even wear or afford Prada but they will tell an Angel that can that “he is broke and dark” Selective reasoning & Hypocrisy wan wound us.. iree o!”
