The governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will meet with the ruling party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday in Ibadan, Oyo State.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Kehinde Olaosebikan, the APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesperson in Oyo, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
Remember that the APC had scheduled its presidential rally for February 7 but had to reschedule it due to the naira crisis and fuel scarcity.
Olaosebikan stated that the local organizing committee for the mega rally scheduled for Thursday at the historic Mapo Hall had completed all arrangements for the rally.
While stating that Tinubu would unveil his plans for the state and Nigeria, Olaosebikan added that the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, would lead members of the party’s National Working Committee and other top party leaders from across Nigeria to the event.
He stated that adequate security measures have been put in place in and around the venue, emphasizing that the arrangement will ensure the maximum security of people and their property.
According to Olaosebikan, human and vehicular movements on all streets visited by the campaign train will be as smooth as possible.
He stated that Tinubu and Shettima would be greeted by governors, ministers, and other dignitaries led by Teslim Folarin, the APC governorship candidate in the state, upon their arrival at Alakia Airport.
