Tracy Chapele, also known as Tracy Chapele-Ugo, is a Nigerian journalist who was credited with being the first Urhobo woman in Udu Kingdom to be given a chieftaincy title in 100 years. In 2021, she attributed her achievement to God, saying, “This tradition that I break is by the grace of God”. She is also a Nigerian pidgin sports commentator. She is known for giving pidgin English sports journalism a large foothold especially among the uneducated people of Nigeria.
She belongs to the Urhobo people in Delta State, daughter of the late Chief Oletu Chapele, the Okugbe of Udu Kingdom. She graduated from the University of Benin with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Literature.

She worked as a Nigerian pidgin sports commentator with Inspiration 92.3 FM, Sports Radio 89.9 Brila FM and Wazobia 95.1 FM, Lagos. She has been on several channels like BBC, Supersports, Channels TV, Plus TV Africa, Star Times, NTA, AIT, Fuze NG, where she has interviewed some of the biggest names in sports.
