The pastor has faced public scrutiny for his lavish lifestyle and the controversies surrounding his church, which was shut down due to alleged fraudulent activities. Despite the allegations and the UK government reportedly rejecting his appeal to remain in the country, Adegboyega appears unfazed, leveraging the media attention to reinforce his narrative of success.
Recall that a few hours ago, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega publicly responded to circulating rumours regarding his alleged deportation from the United Kingdom.
Reports had surfaced claiming that the UK government was preparing to deport Adegboyega amid accusations of misappropriating £1.87 million in church funds.
These allegations sparked widespread concern among his followers and the general public.
In response, Pastor Adegboyega’s legal team issued a statement on social media, categorically denying any deportation plans.
The clergyman himself later addressed the issue, seeking to reassure his supporters and dispel any fears.
Speaking from his home, Adegboyega dismissed the rumours as baseless.
He described London as his beloved city and expressed his determination to remain despite the challenges.
Adegboyega also criticized what he described as the city’s tendency to “bully” individuals, asserting that he has faced and overcome greater challenges in the past.
In his words:
“I’ve heard a lot today, and I’m doing this because our friends our fans people who are worried. I’m right here at home, no cause for alarm. And naturally I dismiss things that have to do with retrogression. Every Nigerian should be proud of me.”
