Nigerian environmentalist Professor Aniebiet Inyang Ntui has been listed as a notable environmentalist by Wikipedia, alongside prominent figures such as former US Vice President Al Gore and King Charles III. She is the only Nigerian and one of four Africans listed.
The list was compiled based on the environmentalists’ activities in lobbying for environmental protection and conservation. Aniebiet is known for her advocacy work on climate and biodiversity and has been serving as the Ambassador of the European Climate Pact since December 2022. She was also named by the Web of Science as the “Most Read Researcher in Nigeria” and currently holds the position of University Librarian at the University of Calabar.
