Speaking also, the Bauchi State Director, Department of State Services, Bukani Abdullahi, said that all hands were on deck to provide stronger security for all Corps Members in the State up until the post-election period.
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yishau Ahmed, has called on security agencies to ensure the maximum security of corps members serving as ad hoc staff in Saturday’s governorship and state assemblies election.
The DG made the call during separate visits to heads of security agencies in Bauchi State, including the Director, Bauchi State Department of State Services, Bukani Abdullahi; Brigade Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi, Brigadier General E Egbe; Bauchi State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amen James; and the State Commissioner of Police, Aminu Alhassan.
Ahmed, who thanked the security agencies for their previous assistance to the NYSC Bauchi Secretariat, especially during the orientation courses, appealed to the stakeholders for the security of the corps members, whom he said, were neutral participants in the electoral process and heeded the call to contribute to national development.
“I am appealing for maximum security for our corps members during and after the governorship and State House of Assembly elections, even up till their corps lodges,” he said.
The Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade, Bauchi, Brigadier General E Egbe, while commending the five-point policy thrust of the DG, said arrangements had been made to ensure that corps members were fully protected from danger.

In the same vein, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Aminu Alhassan, assured the DG of the Command’s preparation, in ensuring the security of corps members in every location throughout the nooks and crannies of the State.
