Vincent Martis Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man, controversial Nigerian activist, has at last been released from custody.
This follows his arrest soon after making bold allegations linking crossdresser Bobrisky to politicians and high-ranking police officials.
It was also gathered that Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh lodged a formal complaint against him.
The arrest and prolonged detention of the public figure sparked both outcry from some of his supporters and celebration from others who celebrated his absence.
In a recent turn of events, after being held for over a week, former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore announced the release of the Verydarkman.
Taking to his official Instagram page, the politician shared a photo of the online activist and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians for their unwavering support.
Sowore also acknowledged the pivotal role played by Deji Adeyanju in securing VDM’s freedom.
Omoyele Sowore wrote:
“Good news on Easter Sunday! @verydarkblackman is now free! Thanks for all your efforts to ensure oppression will not always win! #RevolutionNow. Big thanks to Barrister Adeyanju Deji and the astute legal team and advocates for a good fight.”
