Goncalo Ramos, a forward for Portugal, injured himself early in PSG’s 4-1 victory against Le Havre in Ligue 1 last week, dealing them yet another severe blow.
According to manager Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain is no longer interested in acquiring Victor Osimhen of Napoli or any other transfer targets this summer.
Enrique made the statement that he is happy with his team before this.
The French team has already spent a total of 175 million euros ($195 million), excluding bonuses, on four players this summer, but they still haven’t found a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, the record-holding top striker of all time, who left for Real Madrid after his contract expired.
Goncalo Ramos, a forward for Portugal, injured himself early in PSG’s 4-1 victory against Le Havre in Ligue 1 last week, dealing them yet another severe blow.
“Unfortunately Goncalo picked up an injury. It is a blow, but we still have a very good team and I have full confidence in the players in my squad,” Luis Enrique told reporters on the eve of PSG’s first home game of the campaign, against Montpellier on Friday.
“The president (Nasser al-Khelaifi), (sporting director) Luis Campos and I are always open to improving the squad but it is very, very difficult to strengthen the team that we have.”
Despite interest from Chelsea, Osimhen was seen as a perfect replacement for Mbappe and PSG earlier considered a transfer approach for the Nigerian super striker this summer.
