Afrobeats star, Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has revealed his fears about collaborating with controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable.
Bella Shmurda said he and Portable would have good sonic chemistry but he is sceptical about collaborating with the ‘Zazuu’ crooner because of his controversial nature.
Speaking in a recent interview with Max FM, the ‘Cash App’ crooner said he is not ready for Portable’s “wahala.” In Bella Shmurda’s words:
“I feel me and Portable will blend on a song but I am not ready for wahala [problem] right now.”
Portable has been embroiled in controversies since gaining prominence with his hit song ‘Zazuu’ in 2021.
His latest controversy is his online feud with Davido and rapper Zlatan Ibile; he accused the former of giving him “bad advice” during their recent dinner in the United States and the latter of ruining his relationship with the DMW boss.
In other news, controversial singer Portable narrated how he was able to secure his release after he was arrested by the police recently.
Although he didn’t dwell on why he was arrested following his diss tracks, the singer said he got lucky and is grateful a fan intervened.
Speaking in Yoruba during a live session on his social media platform, Portable reflected on the incident, stressing the need for forgiveness amidst conflicts. He expressed gratitude for the intervention that prevented his transfer to Abuja.
Portable stated that the Lagos IGP is a fan of his and after pleading and crying profusely, he was released.
