Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo better known as Omoborty has responded to those urging her to expose the names of the marketers who pressured her to quit Nollywood.
Earlier, Biodun Okeowo opened up on why she left the Yoruba movie industry. According to the curvy actress, marketers were the reason she left the industry because they blacklisted her for refusing to sleep with them.
She claimed they took it a step further by telling producers to stop featuring her in movies and went as far as removing her portrait from movie posters or promotional material where she played lead role.
Following her explosive revelation, netizens have stormed her social media accounts to urge the Yoruba actress to expose the names of the said marketers.
Addressing their clamor on her Instagram page, Biodun Okeowo questioned if she should expose them since the marketers are alive and would likely see her post.
The actress and mother of two who got married in 2024 stated that “wisdom is profitable to direct”, hence it is needless to mention names.
Omoborty added that despite not being in a movie for over ten years, she is doing well. Pointing out how there are a few good marketers in the industry, she urged fans to support actors on YouTube where unprofessional marketers have no say. She wrote:
“Hmmmmm!
I saw a lot of comments saying I should mention the names of the said marketers. Should I?I heard it’s call-out season! Omo! Anyways, wisdom is profitable to direct.
These marketers are alive, and seeing it all; they know themselves. God has done well, and I’m doing extremely well despite not featuring in movies for more than a decade. Isn’t God marvelous?Meanwhile, God bless the good ones among them. Not all of them are bad. We didn’t date them, yet they did well. But there’s only so much they can do because, in the end, the majority carries the vote. But thank God for YouTube now.
So you fans, too, need to please support us by subscribing to our YouTube channels.”
