Former Big Brother Naija housemate cum actress, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna has spoken against marriage.
The Big Brother Naija season seven (2022) winner shared her reason for making such statement on her official account on the microblogging platform, X.
Phyna recounted an encounter she had with an abusive man assaulting his wife. She added that she intervened to stop the man. The budding actress said the abusive man manhandling his wife was almost unstoppable despite efforts to restrain him by other people, including her.
The reality star who has been single for a while following the crash of her last known relationship with a BBNaija colleague shared her new fear of marriage. Phyna wrote:
“Say NO to marriage ❌. I just saw a man panel beating his wife I stopped to join the people already there to help stop the man …… but I must say he was a mad dog 🐕 nobody got hold am……… thing just tire me.”

The picture showing Phyna wrapped in pink fabric from tip to toe has drawn comparisons to the biblical character, Lazarus, who Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead.
Some netizens claimed Phyna’s controversial dress resembled how Lazarus was reportedly wrapped when he was called forth from the tomb. Amid the reactions, some social media users shared edited pictures of biblical scenes with a picture of the hype woman replaced with that of Lazarus.
