- CDQ posted on his Instagram story, hilariously comparing Davido and Wizkid to a husband and wife who’ll keep fighting “till thy kingdom come.”
- He advised fans to stay out of it, saying the two superstars are just having fun with their “beef”
Nigerian rapper CDQ has shared his thoughts on the recent drama between Wizkid and Davido at a London club.
The two Afrobeats stars reportedly had a tense encounter, with no exchange of words or handshakes.
CDQ in reaction, compared their situation to a marital dispute, stating that they will continue to clash until the end of time.
He advised fans to refrain from getting involved, suggesting that Wizkid and Davido are simply enjoying the attention that comes with their rivalry.
He wrote:
“Woss. Dem no dey put mouth for Wiz n David fight. Ori e lon ma fi igo gbeyin. Just let them play 2 of dem be like husband n wīfe till thy kingdom come”.
Ladipoe has also weighed in on Wizkid and Davido fight, stating why he doesn’t believe their beef is real.
During a new interview with City 105.1FM, rapper Ladipoe was asked what he thinks about the beef, and the rapper seems to have his own questions about if the whole rivalry is even real.
Ladipoe was asked “What do you think about the recent beef going on with Wizkid and Davido right now?”
The singer hinted at the superstar singers beef being a song promotion tactic.
Ladipoe stated that while he personally doesn’t like the tactic, it has proven to be effective as it seems to be the same style Wizkid and Davido are playing at.
“Honest truth, honestly, I have no idea. And why I say so is because this is not the first time that there has been something like this between these two juggernaut artistes y’know. So, who is to say? And I’m not personally close to either of them to be able to look behind the veil. I’ve been somebody that has gotten to admire them from afar. I’ve definitely shaken Wizkid’s hand a couple of times. I’ve shaken David’s hand a couple of times. And in both ways, I respect them.
You know what I feel? I fall in the fanbase that feels that they are just too savvy and business minded to not one day say “pull up, Davido and Wizkid concert or Wizkid and Davido concert”. I just feel like una dey whine me. That’s my own personal feeling: una dey whine me. They are too big to not see the business opportunity in front of them. So, that’s my take. But whether it’s real or not, who is to say?..”
