The Minister for the Federal Capital Territory encouraged all ethnic groups in the state to support President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for the advancement of the State and the Nation, and he counseled the Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality’s citizens to be politically watchful and united.
Chief Nyesom Wike, a minister for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the most recent governor of Rivers State, has assured his relatives he will fulfill his ministerial responsibilities with integrity.
At the 2024 Annual Cultural Day celebration of Ogbako Ikwerre Organization Worldwide, the premier socio-cultural organization representing the Ikwerre ethnic nationality, Wike delivered a speech as a Special Guest of Honor this past weekend.
The minister, accompanied by Chukwuemeka Woke, his former chief of staff while serving as governor, thanked the people of Ikwerre for their support throughout his eight years in office.
Wike stated that the organization played a crucial role in President Bola Tinubu’s win in the state during the 2023 elections, and that the Ikwerre people profited from his administration in terms of appointments and upgrades to their traditional chieftaincy stools.

Also, the President of the organization, Eze Godspower Onuekwa, commended the leadership of Ikwerre, for using the culture to ensure peace and development in the state and country.
